Valentine’s Day 2024: Tinder wants to help you cover up that tattoo of your ex

Do you have a tattoo that reminds you of an ex-lover? If you have regrets about that ink, Tinder is here to help.

The dating app recently launched a new campaign, called “Ink Twice.” With the slogan “You can’t erase the past, but you can cover it up,” the campaign has partnered with four tattoo studios around the country to help give a select group of people the chance to cover up a tattoo that reminds them of their former flame.

“We all know someone who’s expressed their love in a bold and permanent way, from matching tattoos, to symbolic designs that hold secret meanings. But tattoos are permanent and your love for someone can end,” said Melissa Hobley, the Chief Marketing Officer at Tinder, in a press release. “We created Ink Twice to help the 47% of surveyed singles who feel self-conscious about a tattoo from a former relationship.”

Through Feb. 16, folks interested in the “Inked Up” campaign can apply to get a cover up from Inked NYC in New York City, No Good Tattoo in Austin, Inked Miami in Miami, and Alium Tattoo Studios in Los Angeles.

To apply, swipe right in the Tinder app notification or visit inktwice.us.com. Then, click the “Apply Now” button belonging to your city’s tattoo parlor. Make sure to provide details about the tattoo you’re looking to cover up, reports Pennlive.com.

People selected will be notified by Feb. 20. After a consultation and confirmation from their designated tattoo artist, those who are chosen will then have three months to schedule the official appointment.
